Public Schools

Years ago families with wealth and social position tented to be ones whose children to go academic education. So the farmers children where likely to follow in their parent's food steps. The doctor's children and the professor's children were likely to have university education, as parents had. But today there is increased opportunity for the talented students to receive and education regardless of social and economic background. Anybody has changed to get it.

State public schools are run by the government. Headmasters, teachers, and administrative staff are government workers. The government provides money and set certain rules. But private schools are run by school board or school committee. The local citizens organize the school board members who usually serve without pay. The duties of the board have to do with all matters that will improve the education of children and the teaching conditions for the professional staff or teachers. They are engaged in particular profession. They manage the school building program, maintenance of building and teachers salaries.
